Are You Being Served?

The Christmas markets were a huge success for my pop-up shop. I had lots of sales and bucket loads of interest. Many people asked if I sold online. I've always welcomed custom orders online, but I haven't had an online store.

Until now...

I've decided to try something new and open an Etsy Shop.
At the moment I'm just listing some bits and pieces I have in my stock, but I hope to start making things specifically for the shop.
New Year, New Venture...
... very excited.

Long time, no speak

Wow! It's been so long since I last posted here.

I've been busy being a mom, a wife, working part time and building up Leasowes View.
I'm really pleased that my little Leasowes View venture is doing well and although it takes up a lot of my spare time, I'm really enjoying it.
It'll soon be September, so I think it's OK to say the C word! Yes, for handmade artists, the next few months are very busy with Christmas handmade market prep.
If you'd like to come and say hello at a market, then see the Events section of my main website. I can't wait to set up my stall. You meet so many lovely fellow makers and customers who genuinely appreciate handmade items and the work that goes into each piece.
If you're interested in the day to day happenings of Leasowes View, then why not follow along on Instagram
Until the next time...

Vintage Vibes

After a sickly Christmas and New Year, I have slowly got back to crocheting. This week has seen three new makes ... all with a vintage vibe.

Twilley's Book of Instant Crochet has a gorgeous pattern for a Crochet Dressing Table Set. I remember as child elder relatives would have these type of sets.
This baby hat works up quickly in DK yarn. I can see myself embellishing further makes with flowers for a springtime feel.
I keep a lot of the crochet magazines I buy and this matinee cardigan (Inside Crochet issue 42) has been bookmarked for some time. It was a dream to make.
Custom orders are welcome... just get in touch.

Craft Stall Beginnings

Christmas is just over a week away and it's time to reflect on the Christmas fairs I took part in during December.
This was something new for me and Leasowes View and I was chuffed to bits with peoples comments and the sales I made. I didn't expect to do so well as a craft stall beginner.
My stall comprised of collars, baubles, wreaths, coasters, doilies, scarfs, cowls, hanging hearts and fingerless gloves.
My spare time between fairs was spent beavering away, replacing the stock I had sold.
I think I have the bug.

Keep up to date via the Latest News section of my website.
